November 26, 2012, -- Nashville recording artist, Lauren Ashley, has much to celebrate after being names the Georgia Country Female Artist of the Year, After months of fan voting, Lauren Ashley, daughter of Mark and Deanna Redmond of Griffin, was named the Female Artist of the Year for the second year in a row. Lauren Ashley is the only female to ever have received this title back-to-back. the 2012 Georgia Country Awards were held on Saturday night, November 10, at the 120 Tavern & Music Hall.

Lauren Ashley, 20, hails from Griffin, Georgia. Her music is well rooted with southern rock and country influences. Lauren Ashley found her love for country music at an early age. While in her first year of college at Georgia Southern University, Lauren Ashley soon gained a large fan base, playing in local venues throughout Georgia. Since Lauren won 2011 Georgia Country Artist of the Year her life has turned into a whirlwind! Opening for Luke Bryan on his last tour was just one of the many highlights in her recent rise to the top.
Straight out of Griffin, CA Lauren Ashley now makes her home in Nashville, TN where she has just completed a new 5 song ep with 'some of the best songwriters in Nashville' and is ready to hit the road to promote her new music.
With heavy influence from Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean, and Stevie Nicks, Lauren brings a high energy country show to the stage with heavy rock influences. her shows will get the audience up on their feet dancing the night away as her 'girl anthems' like 'Waste of A Good Man' or 'This Wasn't My Fairy Tale' endear her to her many female fans and soon to be fans after the leave her show.

Lauren Ashley Receives Nomination for the GA Music Awards

March 15, 2012, -- Lauren Ashley is among six other talented Georgia Artist nominated for the GA Music Awards in the category of Female Country Artist. The nominations were announced Friday (March 9) at the Nomination Announcement Party held at the Gold Room in Atlanta, Georgia.
In addition to Lauren Ashley, the other nominees in this field include: Abby Owens, Rachel Farley, Angela Reign, Megan Kerns, Faith Jackson, and Jessi Scott.
