With her latest single being released on iTunes,, country rock singer Lauren Ashley looks to catapult herself into the upper echelon of young singers. “Stirred, Not Shaken” was released on August 13th and has Ms. Ashley excited about the future.

“This song is different than anything I have ever released, and also different from anything you will hear on country radio,” Lauren told us. “So, I was pumped to be able to release it and give the fans a glimpse of what they’ll be hearing from me from now on.”

The 21-year-old Lauren Ashley also plans to release a video for “Stirred, Not Shaken” on August 16th on YouTube. She hopes the single does well and discussed what she would deem a success. “Of course, we would love for the single to do amazing on iTunes and to sell a great amount of downloads, but if we can get the song on the radio, XM, Internet radio, I think that would be a huge success,” Lauren says.

The Georgia native says the greatest success would be new fans listening, requesting and sharing the song to create a buzz.  Lauren says she plans on releasing singles regularly with a possible album or EP being released in the future. “Right now, it’s all about trying to catch the world onto my music, and we believe the best way to do that in today’s world is to release singles,” says Ashley.

Along with the single and video, Lauren Ashley is currently co-headlining the 2013 Southern Throwdown Concert Series with Jordan Rager. She has been playing in college towns and says the series has done very well so far. Ashley is comfortable on the stage and recalls her greatest moment.

“I have had some unbelievable moments on stage that I will never forget, but my greatest moment was opening for Luke Bryan on his 2011 Farm Tour, I think the first minute when I stepped on the stage I forgot to breathe because it was so surreal. There was 10,000 people there packed up front to the stage, screaming and singing my songs.”

Lauren is the two-time returning Female Country Artist of the Year and was recently nominated for a third time by the Georgia-Country Awards. The award is voted on by the fans and Ashley says she felt honored to be nominated again.

In order to continue to increase her fan base and popularity, Lauren uses social media to interact with the fans and get them into her music. She says she enjoys the interaction and can be found on a variety of social networks. Lauren is always looking to find new fans and says people can expect real-life experiences in her music. “My sound is rockin’ and edgy and true to who I am,” Lauren says. “My goal in songwriting is to hopefully change someone’s life or make them feel better about themselves or a situation. I want to speak to people through my songs."

Lauren says she has come a long way in a short time period and has no plans of ever giving up on her dream. The young singer says she would not want to let her fans down.“Music and entertaining is my sole passion,” Lauren said. “I can’t think of one other thing I would want to do, so I will never give up. I have a fire in me too that won’t let me give up.”  The future looks bright for this country rock star and time will only tell just how far she can go.
